Your consultation may follow a referral from your GP or you may have made it directly.
People wishing to discuss cosmetic surgery may be reticent about discussing it with their GP. If you have “self-referred” I may wish to write to your GP afterwards but only if you agree.
If your treatment amounts to minor surgery under local anaesthetic and is reasonably brief then I may be able to do it at the time of the consultation visit.
I also need to know if you have any health problems, have allergies or are taking any medications – particularly if you are taking any “blood thinners”, eg aspirin (cartia, aspec), warfarin or plavix (clopidogrel). This is particularly important if you are considering a procedure requiring a general anaesthetic.
If you are contemplating a surgical procedure, Robyn will quote you the surgical fee and give you an approximate quote for the hospital and anaesthetist fees – which are dependent on the time in surgery and in hospital.
